BIOGRAPHY:
Étáin has a sound. A sound that wraps the listener up in all the warmth of Laurel Canyon folk yet burns bright with Celtic spirit. With a songwriting style that is centred in storytelling and a disarming flow of vulnerability, she approaches her work like a diligent craftswoman, perfecting her writing and delivery to derive the most emotion out of even the smallest of movements.
Étáin has been writing, performing and recording for more than a decade. Étáin received the Young Songwriters Award in 2016. Since then, she has released two self-produced, critically-acclaimed EPs and collaborated with LA-producer, Noah Weinman, on her debut single, ‘At Least One’. It received national airplay and critical praise across Ireland and the UK, with When the Horn Blows remarking that ‘its unflinching vulnerability is engrossing’.
She has performed at Celtic Connections, Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, The Cavern Club and The National Concert Hall Dublin, and continues to expand her practice across music, film and theatre. Étáin’s debut album, The Well, will be released on 20 March 2026.
